Facts and figures

The NFTA has about 270 students, 55 staff members (teaching and non-teaching) and works with over 100 guest teachers and coaches during a year. The academy admits 75 students per year; between 6 and 14 students being accepted for each specialisation.

The school produces around 60 to 75 films a year, with lengths varying from 2 to 50 minutes max. The academy offers a production budget for each individual film. The fourth year projects also have the chance of being adopted by public television, which makes a financial donation towards each film as well as providing practical advice and broadcasting the film.

Students complete their degree within 4.1 years on average; while some 70% of graduates find salaried employment in their own field within 3 months of having completed their courses.
