Collaboration

Collaborating with professionals is an essential part of the programme. Students get acquainted with the work field from the first year on. This is through excursions, study trips, guest lecturers from the practice and actual projects mapped out by organizations. This enables them to build up a network.

collaboration with the Reinwardt academy

The Reinwardt Academy is always interested in institutions or organizations – in the broad field of heritage – which aspire to collaborate with our students on projects or offer a traineeship. For example, our second-year students collaborated with the Nationaal Archief (Dutch National Archives), the Maritime Museum Rotterdam, the University Museum and the Jewish Historical Museum. For these organizations, who presented themselves as actual client, the students developed an exhibition plan.

The third-year students, commissioned by several Dutch museums, conducted diverse projects. There is intensive collaboration with heritage institutions throughout the country during the specialized minors (third-year) and the graduation project. ACIN is another joint venture.
