37 solos/Snake Charmers’ Ball

Van 23 januari t/m 18 februari is de befaamde Canadese choreograaf Benoît Lachambre te gast als Artist in Residence bij de School voor Nieuwe Dansontwikkeling (SNDO). Benoît Lachambre maakt met alle 37 studenten van de SNDO een creatie van 37 solo’s, getiteld: 37 solos/Snake Charmers’ Ball.
37 solos/Snake Charmers’ Ball gaat op 18 februari 2012 in première tijdens het Something Raw Festival in Frascati in Amsterdam. Tijdens de slotavond zijn de verschillende solo’s vier uur lang te zien in de Expozaal van de Brakke Grond. De solo’s zijn los van elkaar te bewonderen op diverse podia en er is een flexibele in- en uitloop.

From 23 January to 18 February 2012, the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) will host the renowned Canadian choreographer Benoît Lachambre as its Artist in Residence (AIR). Together with 37 SNDO students, Benoît Lachambre will be creating a work based on 37 solos, entitled 37 Solos/Snake Charmers’ Ball.
37 Solos/Snake Charmers’ Ball will have its premiere on 18 February 2012 at the Something Raw Festival in Frascati theatre, Amsterdam. On the closing evening of the festival, all 37 solos will be performed over a period of four hours in the Brakke Grond’s Expo zaal (Expo Room). Audience members will be able to view individual solos on several stages and there will be a flexible viewing choice.
