Applying for an entry visa
Please note: this information applies only to students who are NOT from a country within the European Economic Area, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan or South Korea.
If you are a national of a country outside the European Economic Area, the US,
Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan or South Korea, an entry visa must be applied for first. After arrival in the Netherlands (using your entry visa) the application procedure for a residence permit must be started in cooperation with the AHK Enrolment Office.
How to apply for an entry visa
After having successfully completed your audition at one of the academies of the Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK), further steps have to be taken in order to obtain your entry visa.
Entry visa are issued by the Netherlands embassy in the country of origin. Therefore, your entry visa application will be conducted for you by the AHK Enrolment Office. Note that upon arrival in the Netherlands (using the entry visa) you must report to the AHK Enrolment Office as soon as possible in order to complete your application for a residence permit. A tuberculosis test in the Netherlands may be applicable to nationals of most countries.
Step 1: required documents
Please download the provisional entry visa application form and send it together with a copy of ALL pages of your passport, including the blank pages, and a passport photo to the AHK Enrolment Office.

Step 2: fee transfer

Note: without payment your entry visa application will be put on hold!
* Nationals of Israel and San Marino do not need to pay the fee.
Step 3: financing and stay
In order to obtain an entry visa for study purposes you must show prove of having enough financial means to live on while staying in the Netherlands. There are several ways to do this. Please
click here to read more. After doing so please send the applicable documents to the AHK Enrolment Office.
Step 4: application for your residence permit
After you have travelled to Amsterdam with your entry visa you have to come to the Enrolment Offcie as soon as possible for the next step: the application for a residence permit. You have to fill out a form that the Enrolment Office will send to the Immigration Department with a copy of your entry visum. You can pick up the residence permit within 3 to 4 weeks.
