Biographies
Barbara Van Lindt (B) studied philosophy and theatre science in Antwerp and Leuven. She worked for Antwerpen Culturele Hoofdstad van Europa 1993 as staff member for the performing arts. She gained experience in various centres for the arts: communication in Monty (Antwerp) and programming in STUK (Leuven).
In 1997 Van Lindt founded the theatre laboratory Gasthuis in Amsterdam, where she was artistic director until the end of 2001. In 2002 Barbara Van Lindt returned to Belgium to lead wp Zimmer, a laboratory for dance and performance. Since 2006 she works as programmer for the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels. During the past two years Barbara Van Lindt was involved with DasArts as an advisor for the students.
Georg Weinand (B), staff member dramaturgy & artistic policy since 2006, studied philosophy in Louvain-La-Neuve (Belgium) as well as theatre sciences and German & English literature in Köln (Germany). He started his performing arts activities at theatre company AGORA where he created as actor/artistic assistant of director Marcel Cremer about ten visual theatre pieces and participated in developing the ‘Autobiographical Theatre’. Beside that he has assisted George Tabori (Burgtheater Vienna) and Dimiter Gottschef (Schauspielhaus Duesseldorf). His transdisciplinary artistic interests were expressed through the direction of some alternative performance evenings. Within Ultima Vez he has worked as a dramaturge and/or artistic assistant to Wim Vandekeybus for the productions between 1996 and 2001. He also did the dramaturgy for HOI (Theatre Vidy Lausanne) by Metzger/Zimmermann/de Perrot and for ANATOMIE ANOMALIE by Anomalie in France. He co-founded Les Ballets du Grand Maghreb and was one of its artistic co-directors for Inn Tidar, which premiered at KunstenFESTIVALdesArts in Brussels. In 2005 he became the artistic director of TOR, a creation place for scenic art. Besides this, he has worked as a freelance journalist and dance/theatre critic for several media.
