18:30 - 19:30 - Max Gadow
Liquid Ecstasy

Liquid Ecstasy is an allegorical performance-essay that explores the possibilities of returning to a primordial state of fluid equality amongst all life forms. It is an exploration of the relation between humans and the fluids that surround and perfuse them. It reveals the Dutch people’s inherited fear of water and their obsession to tame and contain it. It is a ritualistic offering to liquidity through the transformation of the self in hope of a fluid future and a devotion to oceanic feelings.

18:30 - 19:30 - Annefleur Schep
IOOTCP – Cultural Night on the topic of Polish Ethnographer Bronislaw Malinowski

I would love to be Polish. Two men have talked me into bed by asking me if I was Polish. Nothing flatters me more than being perceived as Polish. G. has told me twice now that I could pass as a Polish woman and it gives me a warm feeling in my stomach and chest and makes my cheeks glow. The day before yesterday I made a slip of the tongue. I proposed to M. and G. to go on a walk, a walk exclusively for Polish girls. Luckily, they didn't hear what I was saying. Halfway through the sentence I realised what I was about to say and lowered the volume of my voice. My slip was that for a second I had actually thought that I was Polish too; I considered myself one of them. And then immediately I was thrown back into reality.

20:00 - 21:00 - Ira Brand
Ways to Submit

Ways To Submit is an exploration of dominance and submission. How we give in, how we take control: physically, psychologically, sexually, socially. Through language, through the body, and through structures of power.

Ira has been trying to understand: What can a consensual, agreed, playing in these dynamics offer us? How might we practice other ways of relating to each other? What are the intersections between personal and political consent? And who has the privilege to ‘play’?

A fantasy, a game, a performance, a fight: a series of duets in which power is at work.

20:00 - 21:00 - Rodrigo Batista
The B-sid
e

Rodrigo developed "The Furious Rodrigo Batista", a double-sided opus performance accompanied by several scenic and writing experiments. During the development of these works and using his body as locus, Rodrigo expanded explicitness into an aesthetic flowing from straightforward language to gore and pornographic visuality, to decolonization as a process of violence, all within an intense body research made from impulses of iconoclasm, indigestion, mutilation, blood and sex.

21:30 - 22:45 - Samara Hersch
Body of Knowledge

Body of Knowledge is a creative collaboration between a group of teenagers and a team of artists, initiated and directed by theatre-maker Samara Hersch. The project explores how to have complex conversations about sex and the body in ways that are empowering, driven by real curiosity, including questions of boundaries, shame, healing, consent, pleasure, ageing…

21:30 - 22:15 - Ana Vilela da Costa
Like tears in rain

I have memories. You have memories too. But let’s try to put our personal memories aside for an instant and attempt to create one memory, a sensorial moment… together.

Can you tell where it started? Where did it end? When did the memory stop being a reminiscence of the past and start feeling like a prediction or a prophecy? I invite you to enter this space and find the pieces that are part of this story.
