So you want to play in Het Concertgebouw?

Why is it so difficult to program an interesting series of three concerts a year when there are so many good guitarists out there? Esther Steenbergen has organized the international guitar series in the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam for the past 25 years. Her findings on how guitarists presented themselves to her and the audience are the subject of her lecture. So you want to play in Het Concertgebouw is intended for classical guitarists who aspire to a career on the international concert stage, but might also be of interest to singers, other instrumentalists and their managers.
