Arkadi Zaides, graduate at Amsterdam Master of Choreography in 2013, was recently awarded a prize by The Emile Zola Chair for Human Rights. The prize was awarded for the first time and aims to support initiatives in the field of the arts.
The grant will support Zaides’ new production which is currently in process of development in cooperation with B'Tselem - The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories.
Emile Zola Human Rights Prize
The Emile Zola Human Rights Prize is an annual prize in the amount in NIS equivalent to US$ $10,000. In the beginning of the academic year 2013/14, the prize was awarded to a legal clinic (in one of the academic institutions in Israel with a clinical education program) which has made the most significant contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights in Israel in the previous academic year.
