Programme DAS Open Doors: 10 November

DAS OPEN DOORS 2017 - register now!

Gepubliceerd op

On November 10, we will open our doors to introduce you to the DAS master and research programmes.

If you want to attend the Open Doors, please send us an email at dasgraduateschool@ahk.nl.

You are welcome to meet artistic directors, staff and students, get a taste of the practices of our peers by participating in workshops, and witness performances of students and alumni in the evening.

Right in the middle of all of this, we will be organizing a conversation in the heart of our house with local and international guests. We will launch the latest volume of the challenging book series Performing Urgency: Empty Stages, Crowded Flats, which contains contributions about the ways curating and the staging of performances can be driven by investigations into the performative capacity to transform reality.

PROGRAMME

  • 13:00 - we will open our doors!
  • 13:30 - start workshops by students; and even if you don't want to apply, feel free to participate!
  • 16:30 - Book presentation 'Performing Urgency: Empty Stages, Crowded Flats' with Florian Malzacher
  • 20:00 - Evening with performances: 'Break Yourself' by Ira Brand and 'BLINK' by Michelle Moura and Clara Saito

DAS Graduate School
DAS Graduate School was established in 2016 by the Academy of Theatre and Dance in order to bring its master’s, doctorate and research programmes together under one roof. DAS Theatre (previously DasArts – Master of Theatre), DAS Choreography (previously Amsterdam Master of Choreography), DAS Creative Producing (under development) and DAS Research (previously Performing Arts in Transition research group) have joined forces to invest in the further development of education and research.

The school is based in a recently renovated building in Amsterdam with a broad range of facilities, and the heart of the building functions as an open and welcoming locale for gatherings and meetings between the arts, science, education and society.
