Cooperative relationships of the Amsterdam University of the Arts
As a mono-sectoral university for the creative arts, the Amsterdam University of the Arts (Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, AHK) has opted for an independent position in the higher education system and in the world of art and culture. The AHK is in favour of an open exchange of expertise and activities, and therefore cooperates with other institutions.
The academies maintain numerous (international) cooperative relationships with sister institutions in the field of arts education and organisations in the arts practice. The University has entered into structural relationships within Amsterdam with the municipality and city districts, fellow institutions in the field of higher arts and cultural education, and senior secondary vocational education.
