Strategic plan 2024-2029
The AHK has laid down its vision of the future until 2029 in the Strategic Plan 2024-2029. This plan describes the six themes the AHK wants to pay extra attention to in education, research and operations in the coming years. These themes are:
We want to be a university of the arts that reduces its ecological footprint to the minimum and promotes restoration of damage to nature and the climate. The aim is to contribute through research and education to a regenerative, sustainable and socially just world for current and future generations. The AHK will be climate neutral by 2035.
We want to value and use the input of different perspectives (including cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, gender, age, religion) to improve the quality and accessibility of education and research. In addition, everyone within the AHK should feel safe and respected.
Intercultural competences will be part of the curricula and final qualifications of all our programmes. All AHK students who wish to do so should have the opportunity to spend part of their study time abroad.
We offer our students and staff the opportunity to engage in more encounters and interdisciplinary cooperation in the form of projects, productions or internships within their own education and research, and in other sectors, such as healthcare or engineering.
We train students who know how to integrate technology into their artistic work and can collaborate at the intersection of new technology and art. Digital and technological skills are included in the final qualifications of the courses.
People in different stages of life should be able to come to us for development. This starts with good preparatory courses and continues well into one's career. By offering continuing education and training, we contribute to the development of professionals and the professional field as a whole.
