Amber Kortzorg (1991) has been a member of the Supervisory Board since October 2021. With her experience in sustainability and diversity & inclusion, she has an important role on the board.

Passion for progress

After successfully completing her studies in Neuropsychology and Journalism and Media at the University of Amsterdam, Amber works as a presenter/journalist at BNNVARA. She is the face of the critical consumer programme Kassa. Together with director Hesdy Lonwijk (National Film Academy, Lichting 2007), she made a six-part documentary series 'Alles is famiri' on Suriname ; the country of her ancestors, for NPO2/BNNNVARA. In addition, as vice-chair of BNNVARA's Works Council, she makes a strong case for diversity & inclusion and sustainability. Her leadership is characterised by a positive and critical attitude combined with a passion for progress and social equality. For example, she is committed to young creators in the media world, because she sees that not everyone gets the same opportunities.

Close to the student

Amber has a keen interest in the arts and culture sector and, with her knowledge and experience, is a valuable addition to the current Supervisory Board. Because of her age, background and experience, Amber is close to the perception of students.
