How do you present yourself and your work? Improve your presentation skills in five sessions during this Presentation and Communication training course. We will work on body language, using your voice, use of the space, structure of your presentation and the relationship with your audience. Individuality will play a key role herein, because presenting goes more smoothly if you can ‘just’ be yourself. The colour of your character makes your presentation unique.

Being aware of how you talk, mannerisms and which attitude you adopt is also important. You can only truly develop further and master something new if you are aware of how you do something. This training course is based on you as a person and how you can strengthen the connection with your audience.

By whom
The teacher Marjolein Roeleveld obtained her ‘Theatre in Education’ Bachelor’s degree in 2005 and graduated from the Mime study programme at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam in 2012. After that, she performed with theatre companies like Kassys, TG Oostpool, Mtg Golden Palace, Afslag Eindhoven and Jessie L’Herminez, as well as making her own shows. Last year, she made the site-specific project ‘Everywhen, challenging time’ at Tilburg station.

In addition to this, she has developed presentation training courses, in which the emphasis is placed on individuality, (physical) awareness and making contact. This training has grown into a official course at the Academy of Architecture and is currently expanding further to other organisations and study programmes.

For whom
This training course is intended for students and alumni who want to become better at presenting themselves and their work. No prior knowledge is necessary for this training course. It is important, however, that you attend all lessons, because there is a specific structure to the training course. Therefore, please check carefully if you can be present on all the dates before signing up.
