Log in to MyAHK

To log in to MyAHK, you need to use your AHK account. For proper security, you are required to complete a so-called 2-step verification. This can be done with an app on your smartphone or a code via SMS. If you choose to use the app, follow these steps once to gain access.

Preparation for using the app

Scan or click on one of the logos below to download the Microsoft Authenticator app. The installation of the app should be self-explanatory.

Activate and link the MS Authenticator app in 8 simple steps

Step 1 of 8

After downloading the app, open a browser and go to myahk.nl. You can do this on your phone, but it can also be done on a computer or tablet.

Enter your AHK email address (e.g., peter.vanvelden@ahk.nl or peter.vanvelden@student.ahk.nl) or your AHK account name (e.g., p.vanvelden or p.vanvelden02) for the account that needs to be linked to the MS Authenticator, and click on Sign In. You will now be redirected to the AHK login screen.

Step 2 of 8

Now enter the AHK password for the account and click on Sign In. You will remain on the AHK page but will now see a screen indicating that more information is required.

Step 3 of 8

Click on Next. You will now land on a Microsoft page about the Microsoft Authenticator app. On this screen, you have two options. If you want to continue linking the MS Authenticator app, proceed to step 4. If you prefer to verify using a code sent via SMS, click here for instructions.

Step 4 of 8

Click next. You will now proceed to the next screen.

Step 5 of 8

Click Next again. You will now proceed to the next screen. If you are following this process on your phone, you will see two sentences in blue. Click on Link your account to the app by clicking on this link.

Step 6 of 8

Now open the MS Authenticator app. You will see the following screen. Tap the plus sign in the top right corner or the blue Add account button.

If you have already used the MS Authenticator for other applications or organizations and have authenticators set up in the app, your screen may look different. However, you can still tap the plus icon in the top bar to scan the QR code.

Step 7 of 8

The website is now sending an authentication request to your MS Authenticator app. You will see a code on the screen that you need to enter into the MS Authenticator app. This is different from NetIQ, where you received a pop-up that you had to accept.

Step 8 of 8

You will now see the following screen. If you press Next, you will reach the final screen.

Congratulations! You are done. The Microsoft Authenticator is now linked to your AHK account.
