“Film is, first of all, about aesthetics—creating something beautiful and interesting. When people think of sustainability, they quickly assume it’s expensive, or less attractive, or that you can’t do everything you’d like to do. But it doesn’t have to be that way. I’m noticing more and more that a lot of things are possible. I like the idea that, through my thesis on sustainability and my involvement in the sustainability committee, I might have a positive impact in some way: that it becomes easier for other people to work a bit more sustainably, and maybe even enjoy it. I get a lot of satisfaction out of working on this myself. Because you think a bit more about everything, you also end up living more consciously.”
