Following the successful 2011 Masterclass ‘Re-inventing the Amsterdam Urban Block’ with Joan Busquets (winner of the Erasmus Prize 2011) the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture organizes the 2012 Masterclass ‘New Amsterdam Central’ with renowned architect Felix Claus and leading urban designer Ton Schaap.
Spring 2010 the Dutch government decided to bring large infrastructure underground in order to create the Amsterdam South Axis, the most important central business district in the Netherlands. Design is needed to make the heart of the central business district a real urban environment. Now is the time to make a difference as a designer.
You are invited to attend an international masterclass at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture, led by two masters in architecture and urban design: Ton Schaap (lecturer Design in Urbanism at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture) and Felix Claus (Claus & Kaan Architekten). We are accepting applications for our 2012 Masterclass until 8 June. Programme
