We are very excited to share with you the full programme of the Mime Futurity Symposium!The programmeIt will be a week full of lectures, workshops, interviews, meetings and the book launch of Dr. Marijn de Langens 'Nederlandse Mime'/'Dutch Mime'.
On Tuesday, August 30, at 17.00, the kickoff is in studio 809, where the book will be presented, with contributions from Laura Cull, Loes van der Pligt, Laura Karreman, Frits Vogels and the Mimeband.
The symposium with a daily programme at the Academy of Theatre and Dance, can also be found at various locations throughout the city: in De Ruimte, at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) during the Dutch Theatre Festival PRO program, at the Mimefabriek and on Thursday night we are guests at Club ChUrch.Presentations, workshops, lectures and a mimers partyThe programme is full of nice things: no less than fifteen mimers will write and present a short text about Mime Futurity, we have a day about ZERO, including guest lectures by Aynouk Tan and Mira Thompson, a day about bodies and mimetechniques with workshops by Boukje Schweigman, Katja Heitman and Amos de Haas & Frits Vogels... The mime band will play, mimers will DJ, there will be interviews with Klaske Bruinsma and Loes van der Pligt... And we'll close with a mime party in De Ruimte. We will dance, talk, celebrate, think, write, and explore the future.... Be welcome!
