An afternoon to share, discuss and question using AI for creation, exploration and teaching.
Location: IDLab (Academy of Theatre and Dance, 5th floor)
Why an inspirational day on THINGS TO DO WITH AI?
The evolution of AI in many of the domains of our life and work goes very fast. It’s something that as an art school we need to address and what better way to start than to make an inventory of how AHK students and teachers already work with AI-tools. Because whether it is by using Generative AI to design a performance or Chat GTP to develop a teaching module, AI is already being used to create, to explore, to teach and to learn. So, let’s share experiences, needs and critical questions for the future of AI at the AHK.
The programme
This informal afternoon is organized especially for those at the AHK already working with AI tools, in whatever form, and for those eager to find out more.
- 14.00: welcome;
- Lecture by Martinus Suijkerbuijk, artist, mathematician and researcher, focusing on AI and contextualising its promises and challenges for the arts;
- Short presentations by students and teachers of all the six AHK academies;
- Talk about and discuss the value of AI tools for the practice of makers, for research and for education;
- 17.30: soup and drinks.
Throughout the entire afternoon you'll have the opportunity to look at some of the work made by students using AI.
This afternoon is supported by the AHK AIR programme
