On Monday, October 11, Stichting Danserfonds’79  held an awards ceremony. Former students and Theaterschool employees were among the winners.

This year’s Aanmoedigingsprijs went to Yulanne de Groot, a graduate of the Nationale Balletacademie who this season signed a contract with Introdans. Lauri Schep, former student with the Nationale Balletacademie was awarded a scholarship.

The special 2010 prize went to the entire Praktijk Keizersgracht in recognition of their dedication and  valuable  efforts in supporting  dancers. This medical practice has built up 30 years of expertise in counseling dancers. Ted Willemsen, Marleen Grol, Menno de Vries and Lobke Mienis are all associated with the centre and also members of the Theaterschool’s team for dance and well-being.
