'A Walk Down the Mountain' is a walk from a mountain, a city, a home and through a gate.
I understand the direction by locating the exit point.
With Jerusalem at my back, I start walking.

A note on the time of the action

'A Walk Down the Mountain' is a 27 hour action, to which the public is invited for the first and last 3 hours, on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
We begin together at 19:00. Following that, the public is invited to remain for part or all of the 3 hours.

As with all journeys, the balance between night and day allows for movement forward. Rest is a condition for walking. The 21 hours between the moments of public viewing serve as the night of this journey. Rest, in its physicality, is also taken to an extreme. 2kg of sweat are lost in the first day of travel, and must be regained in liquids. Muscles are put through rigorous stretching poses, allowing for toxins to release. The body shuts down for an extremely long sleep, and digestion is taken into consideration to prepare for the action of the second part of the journey.

You are invited to join a journey. You can join me for a day or for two. The landscape changes and is different each day, but the conditions of the 'walk down' are constant.
