3rd prize Jazz Hoeilaart for Philip Czarnecki Quintet

The Philip Czarnecki Quintet, with CvA-students and alumni won the third prize of the 34th Jazz Hoeilaart on September 29. For more than 30 years Jazz Hoeilaart puts young international jazztalent in the spotlight. By stimulating young talented players & give them the attention & support they need, the contest keeps true to its main ambition, to stimulate jazz.

The prize for best bass player was won by CvA-alumnus Pat Cleaver, bass player of the Philip Czarnecki Quintet. Jazztrio De Beren Gieren won the 1st prize. Second was Arturri Rönkä Quartet and 4th the John Albert Group. Fulco Ottervanger, pianist of De Beren Gieren was best soloist of the competition.
