New choreography Ted Brandsen and live streaming project National Ballet Academy for Assemblée Internationale 2013

Ted Brandsen, artistic director of the Dutch National Ballet, will create a new choreography for four students graduating students from the National Ballet Academy to be premiered on 30 April during the the Assemblée Internationale 2013 in Toronto. The National Ballet Academy collaborates in a live streaming project by choreograhers Michael Schumacher and Shaun Amyot.

Ted Brandsen, artistic director of the Dutch National Ballet, will create a new choreography for  four students graduating students from the National Ballet Academy to be premiered on 30 April during the the Assemblée Internationale 2013 in Toronto, organised by Canada’s National Ballet School. The National Ballet Academy collaborates in a live streaming project by choreograhers Michael Schumacher and Shaun Amyot. This project is a graduation performance by  Dave van Roon from the Technical Theatre Arts study programme.

Streaming project
The National Ballet Academy is collaborating on a special live streaming project by Michael Schumacher and Shaun Amyot from Canada’s National Ballet School. Together they will produce a new choreography. Shaun Amyot will work with dancers from all participating study programmes in Toronto while simultaneously, Michael Schumacher rehearses with dancers from the National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam. Video images of our dancers will be streamed live from the Danstheater in de Theaterschool to Toronto where with dancers on stage there, they will become part of the choreography. 
This live steaming project is a graduation production by Dave van Roon, student at the Technical Theatre Arts study programme at de Theaterschool. Also the second year students Hendrik Walther, Thomas Lloyd and Bauke Moerman work on this project.

Choreography Ted Brandsen in Toronto
The new choreography Verge by Ted Brandsen will premier on 30 April in Toronto. The balet will be danced by the graduating students from the National Ballet Academy Nancy Burer, Jessica Xuan, Nathan Brhane and Daniel Montero. Next season these four dancers will perform in the Junior Company of the Dutch National Ballet. Verge will also be staged during the final presentation of the National Ballet Academy Dansers van Morgen on 27 and 28 June 2013 in the Stadsschouwburg, Amsterdam.

Assemblée Internationale 2013 (AI 13)
From 28 April through 4 May 2013, Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) in Toronto will organize the Assemblée Internationale 2013 (AI 13). Students and staff from nineteen international dance study programmes have been invited to attend lessons, performances and forums among other activities.
