Many CvA students win prizes at Prinses Christina Competition and Composition Competition

Many CvA students have won prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition West. Pianist Young Jae Kim (12) and singer Laetitia Gerards (19) won first prizes, among others. Iris Tjoonk (20) and Tijn Wybenga (19) made it to the final of the Prinses Christina Composition Competition.

Many CvA students have won prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition West on February 9 and 10. Pianist Young Jae Kim (12) won first prize in category 1 (age 12-14). Young Jae studies at the Sweelinck Academy, the CvA's national study programme for exceptionally gifted young talents. 
Sweelink Academy students Xenia Evers (17), piano, Lisette Carlebur (16), violin, and Chieko Donker Duyvis (15), cello won third prize in category 2 (age 15-19). Violist Gioia Kuijpers (17) and violinist Emma Roijackers (17), also students at the Sweelinck Academy, also won third prize.
Singer Laetitia Gerards (19), bachelor student at the CvA, won first prize category 3 (conservatory).

Another competition that took place on February 9 was the Prinses Christina Composition Competition. Among the six finalists are CvA students Iris Tjoonk (20) and Tijn Wybenga (19). Their compositions will be performed at the Day of the Finalists on April 6 in The Hague.
