The brand-new Junior Company comprises twelve young, extremely talented dancers: six dancers who have recently begun their dance career with the Dutch National Ballet and six talented students from the National Ballet Academy. They all have the potential to develop into future solo dancers.

From November 2013 the group will embark on a tour throughout the country with an compelling programme consisting of excerpts from the classical-romantic and neo-classical repertoire and new ballet creations. In addition, these young gifted students also dance in major productions of the Dutch National Ballet. As a result the Junior Company is the ideal launching pad for young ballet dancers.

Ernst Meisner, former student of the National Ballet Academy, teacher at the Amsterdam International Summer School and one time dancer with the Dutch National Ballet, is the artistic coordinator of the Junior Company.

The Junior Company is a collaboration between the Dutch National Ballet and the National Ballet Academy.
