The Sirius Programme, part of Platform Bèta Techniek (Science and Technology Platform), is a grant platform established by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science for the advancement of excellence in higher and academic education. The AHK and Artez were the only vocational study programmes for the fine and performing arts selected for a grant from this prestigious programme.

In December 2013, the spending of the grant was evaluated by an audit panel from Sirius. The panel members were extremely impressed and gave the AHK and the National Ballet Academy the highest possible assessment for the results obtained.

The panel was especially enthusiastic about the way in which the whole educational chain (amateur field - primary education - secondary education - preparatory study - higher professional education - field of work) was strengthened and about the final result obtained. In addition, the panel was enthusiastic about the way in which the Academy and The Dutch National Ballet have strengthened their partnership, for example in the form of the Junior Company, the springboard for young ballet dancers under the joint responsiblity of the Dutch National Ballet and the National Ballet Academy.
