The Loran Witteveen Quintet have won the Dutch Jazz Competition 2014. They win an amount of € 5000,-, a concert at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2014, a Young VIP Tour on the important Dutch jazz venues and participation in the final of the EBU European Jazz Competition on 5 July in LantarenVenster, Rotterdam.

Pianist Dominic J Marshall, who played in the final with his trio, won the award for 'Best Soolist 2014.
