The band Tin Men and the Telephone, formed by CvA alumni Bobby Petrov, drums; Lucas Dols, bass, andTony Roe, piano, have won second prize at the BMW Welt Jazz Award 2014.

Tony Roe has also won the composition assignment of the North Sea Jazz Festival. ‘Tony Roe’s compositions are clear and surprising. (…) He makes use of contemporary technology such as samples, sound distortion and video and mixes these with an acoustic jazz trio (piano-double bass-drums).
