Three CvA students have been very successful at the Prinses Christina Composition Competition 2015.

Stefan Bele (12) (photo) has won first prize as well as the audience prize in category '12-14 years of age' with his work 'Onderwater/Lente', performed by Alieke Meijer, flute, and Cathelijne Noorland, piano. Stefan studies composition with Martijn Hooning and piano with Marjès Benoist at the Sweelinck Academy, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam's national study programme for exceptionally gifted children.

Tijn Wijbenga (19) has won first prize in the category 'conservatory' with his work 'Verlopen Stilte', performed by Emma Rooijackers, Margot Kolodziej, Charlotte Basalo Vázquez and Julia Kleinsmann, violin; Hessel Moeselaar and Lisa Eggen, viola; Renée Timmer andEmma Kroon, cello; Roberta Christini, clarinet; Mees Vos, horn; I-Han Fu, marimba and timpabi ; Yordi Petit, percussion, conducted by Tijn Wybenga. Tijn studies jazz composition and arranging in the bachelor's degree programme.

Mathilde Wantenaar (21), has won second prize in the same category with her work 'Hooglied', performed by Vanja Schoch, soprano; Eva Aukes, guitar, andTiffany Ku, perscussieon Mathilde studies classical composition in the bachelor's degree programme.
