Francine Vis wins first prize at Copenhagen Lied-Duo Competition

On October 25th, mezzo-soprano Francine Vis won first prize at the Copenhagen Lied-Duo Competition.

The prize amount is DKK 50.000 (about  € 6700,-). She was accompanied by the Danish pianist Christian Westergaard.

Francine Vis (1983) completed the master’s degree programme at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she studied with Valérie Guillorit, in 2009. In 2013 she graduated from the Royal Danish Opera Academy. For these studies she received scholarships from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, the Aafje Heynis Fonds, the Gulberg Fonds and the Romke Kalma Fonds. Francine is much in demand as an opera and concert singer.
