The NedPhO/CvA Orchestra Academy is a master academy for Classical CvA students who have been admitted to the master specialisation in orchestral performance. The objective of this academy is to train the best students to become orchestra musicians at the highest level. The NedPho/CvA Orchestra Academy is part of the Classical study programme and it concerns the master profile in orchestral performance.
In the 2016-2017 season there are places for strings, flute, percussion, oboe, horn and harp. Please note: clarinets and bassoons cannot apply. Places for trumpet and trombone are to be decided.
The auditions will be held in the NedPho-koepel on the following days:
* Tuesday 26th April 10.00-17.00h; morning: violin, viola, cello; afternoon: oboe and flute (possibly trumpet, place to be decided yet)
* Thursday 28th April 14.00-17.00h: harp and double bass (possibly trombone, place to be decided yet)
* Monday 2nd May 10.00-13.00h: percussion and horn
Please keep these dates free. It is not possible to apply for certain days or times, nor is it possible to audition on other days.
How to apply
Application is open to those who will be studying in the master's degree programme in the 2016-2017 season. No bachelor's students or students-by-contract. You must be available for NedPho productions in the 2016-2017 season.
