Brazilian museum directors visiting Reinwardt Academy

Brazilian museum directors will be visiting the Reinwardt Academy on Tuesday 13 December 13th. The visit is part of a week organized by the Netherlands Dutch Culture in collaboration with IBRAM, the Brazilian National Institute for Museums Instituto Brasileiro de Museus, Brazil's main think-tank and research institute, the Dutch Embassy in Brasília and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV).

Brazilian museum directors will be visiting the Reinwardt Academy on Tuesday 13 December. The visit is part of a week organized by the Netherlands Dutch Culture in collaboration with IBRAM, the Brazilian National Institute for Museums Instituto Brasileiro de Museus, Brazil's main think-tank and research institute, the Dutch Embassy in Brasília and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). During the visit at the Reinwardt Academy the Master of  Museology, the academy's international trainings for professionals will be presented and the model for successful entrepreneurship by museums will be discussed with real cases providing examples. In the model the focus is on the principal orientation on the visitors instead of on collections.

Museum Management
The aim of the visit is to organize knowledge exchange and cooperation between the Netherlands and Brazil in the field of museum management. Best practices from Dutch museums in the field of museum programming,  outreach to visitors, entrepreneurship and governmental relationships are key. The directors will be visiting the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, the Kunsthal and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
