The semifinalists of the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award are: the Teis Semey Group (Nicolò Ricci, tenor saxophone; Teis Semey, guitar; Xavi Torres, piano; Brodie Jarvie, double bass, Guy Salomon, drums) and the Casares Trio (Lluc Casares, tenor saxophone, clarinet; Kimon Karoutzos, double bass; Joan Casares, drums). They will compete in the international final tomorrow with bands from The New School, New York; Royal Academy of Music, London; Jazz-Institut, Berlin en University of Southern California, Los Angeles. The incentive prize was awarded to LM Project (Lucas Martinez, tenor saxophone; Xavi Torres, piano; Giuseppe Campisi, double bass; Aaron Castrillo, drums).
The final will take place tomorrow, March 30, at the Bimhuis, entrance free.
