The 2017 annual Kromhout Lecture will be delivered by architect and former student Donna van Milligen Bielke on Saturday November 4th at 17h00. Donna van Milligen Bielke graduated in 2012 at the Academy of Architecture. In 2014 she won the Prix de Rome Architecture 2014.

The lecture is titled: 'Defining space. Between architecture and Urbanism'.

Since 2008, this lecture is delivered by an alumnus or former teacher of the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture. The lecture is named after architect Willem Kromhout (1864-1940) who was one of the founders of the Academy of Architecture in 1908. Previous speakers were Nathalie de Vries, Madeleine Maaskant, Bruno Doedens, Anne Holtrop, Rob Wagemans, Laurens Jan ten Kate and Aart Oxenaar. The Academy invites all (former) students and teachers to attend this lecture.

Saturday 4 November 2017, start at 17h00 at the Academy of Architecture, Waterlooplein 213 in Amsterdam. Free entrance. Reservation is not required. The lecture is in English. The Academy can easily be reached by car and public transport.
