Conservatorium van Amsterdam bands CANVAS, Molino, the Matthias van den Brande Group, Larchey Zore and The Passengers have reached the final of Keep an Eye The Records. On December 9th, they will compete with the bands Spoken +2 and S’Yo Fang Octet, both from Codarts, Rotterdam, for a fully financed CD production of € 10.000,-.

These seven finalists have been selected from 33 applications by a jury consisting of saxophonists Dick Oatts and Maarten Hogenhuis, jazz journalist, presenter and  saxophonist Koen Schouten and pianist/vocalist Maartje Meijer. The competition, organised by the Keep an Eye Foundation in order to support starting bands who want to record an album, is open to alumni and graduating students from all Dutch conservatories.

The final will be held on December 9th, 20.00h, at the Bimhuis. At the same time, the winners of the 2016 edition of Keep an Eye The Records, Trempera! O.W.A.L. and How Town will present their albums.
