Focusyear Band 19 of Jazzcampus der Hochschule für Musik FHNW, Basel, has won the eleventh edition of the Keep an Eye International Jazz Award. First runner-up was Liquid Identities of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. 

The  jury, consisting of Fay Claassen, Martin Fondse, Jan Willem Luyken, Paul van der Feen en Bert Vuijsje, awarded the first prize, an amount of €2,500 to Focusyear Band 19. Liquid Identities won € 1,500.

The Incentive Prize of € 750 was awarded to SMANDEM of Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Anthony Pearlman of the Anthony Pearlman Quartet - The School of Jazz at the New School, New York, won the prize for Best Arrangement of a European Real Book composition (€ 500). Adrien Losco of the Adrien Losco Quartet won the prize for Best CvA Soloist: participation in the Hudson Jazz Workshop New York 2019. The prize for Best Non-CvA Soloist, participation in the Summer Jazz Workshop Amsterdam 2019, was awarded to Jacob Patrone, drummer of the Anthony Pearlman Quartet - The School of Jazz at the New School, New York 

The Keep an Eye International Jazz Award is a competition for outstanding young vocalists and instrumentalists from the USA, Europe and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. This year bands from The School of Jazz at the New School, New York; the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, Cardiff; the Jazzcampus der Hochschule für Musik FHNW, Basel; the New England Conservatory, Boston, and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam entered the competition.
