International Summer School and new Summer Dance Day

Published on

There is overwhelming interest in the coming edition of the National Ballet Academy’s International Summer School. No fewer than 230 ballet students aged between 15 and 21 applied for the two-week intensive course taking place in Dutch National Ballet’s studios in Amsterdam, from 15 to 26 July, of whom 180 were finally selected. Applications for the summer school are now closed.

A new event this year is the Summer Dance Day, organised by the National Ballet Academy for pupils of amateur ballet schools in the Netherlands, aged between 8 and 14. In Dutch National Ballet’s studios, the children will take part in classes given by teachers from the National Ballet Academy, attend a training session at the International Summer School and learn an excerpt from the ballet Don Quichot, which they will perform at a presentation for their parents and/or escorts at the end of the day.
