Pianist Daan Boertien wins German DAAD Prize

Pianist Daan Boertien has won the DAAD Prize. The prize, an amount of € 1.000,-, is awarded by the German Academic Exchange Service for outstanding achievements of foreign students studying at German universities.

Daan studied with David Kuyken at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, obtaining his bachelor’s diploma in 2013 and his master’s diploma in 2015. Subsequently he studied Lied interpretation with Burkhard Kehring at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, where he recently obtained his master’s diploma.
