Violin student Sylvia Huang is one of the 12 finalists of the Belgian Queen Elisabeth Competition (Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd). The contest is considered one of the most challenging and prestigious competitions for instrumentalists. 172 violinist registered for the competition and Sylvia is the only Belgian finalist. On May 20 she will play the Concerto en la mineur op. 53 by Dvorak, as well as the mandatory piece by Kimmo Hakola, that was written especially for the 2019 session.
Sylvia studies with Liviu Prunaru at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
