In the finals of the Princess Christina Jazz Competition, the Martí Mitjavila Trio has won first prize in category 3 (12-22 years of age and studying at a conservatory). The members of the trio are Martí Mitjavila Casals, clarinet; Simon Osuna, bass, and Eloi Pascual drums, all three CvA students. They won several prizes, including the North Sea Jazz Festival prize, a performance at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2020.

Pianist Chris Muller won second prize in this category with his trio. He was awarded the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw Prize, a solo performance with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.
Guitarist Cem Karayalcin and duo Chaerin Im, piano, and Horim Choi, guitar, received an honourable mention.
