Bart Aerbeydt new teacher of natural horn at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam proudly welcomes Bart Aerbeydt as teacher of natural horn at the Early Music Department of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

“Bart is a young and versatile asset to our teaching team,’ says Okke Westdorp,Associate Director and Head of Classical Music. ‘As a former student of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he already knows the school well. Witl all his experience, he is the right person to continue the high-quality teaching tradition at the Early Music Department. We look forward to working with him.”

Bart is principal horn with the Freiburger Barockorchester. Additionally he collaborates with orchestras and ensembles such as Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, B’Rock Gent, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, and Collegium Vocale Gent. He studied horn with Luc Bergé and Rik Vercruysse at the conservatories of Ghent and Antwerp. His interest in the colourful and expressive sound of the natural horn led him to continue his studies with Teunis van der Zwart at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He has made several recordings on historical instruments, including the baroque horn, the classical horn, the Vienna horn and the French piston horn.
