Violist Takehiro Konoe has won first prize in the category ‘viola’ at the 27th international Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach, Austria. The first prize consists of an amount of € 2500,-, which was presented to Takehiro during the prizewinners’ gala concert on 6 September. 
Takehiro studies viola with Nobuko Imai and Francien Schatborn at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
