Participants wanted Art & Society programme AHK Culture Club

Published on

Are you curious about new connections between art and society? And do you want to discover how to make this possible? For the Art & Society programme we are looking for alumni, with a maximum of three years of practical experience, who are highly motivated to develop work with a social component based on the strength and knowledge of their own discipline.

In these times – when society is faced with complexities and artistic practice is under pressure – the AHK considers exploring new connections between makership and society to be of great importance. The Art & Society programme of the AHK provides this as a place for experimentation and valorisation. An interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral lab where artistic, social and technological research and makership come together. The participants have a workspace in the AHK Culture Club to create, test and meet each other.

The Art & Society programme
The Art & Society programme is a postgraduate programme for alumni who are in the transition from education to practice. As participants of the Art & Society programme, you are associated with a programme in which your development is central for nine months. We offer you a learning and research process in which you can deepen the social innovative power of your work and practice based on your own concrete project. The programme complements your own practice and developing and sharing knowledge is an essential part of your participation. A teaching appointment of 0.2 FTE is therefore part of the programme.

About the AHk Culture Club
The AHK Culture Club is a multifunctional hotspot on the Marineterrein where students, teachers and recent graduates from all academies come together, meet each other and exchange ideas. Here the different forms of art touch each other and can be expressed in multidisciplinary projects. There is room and a stage for public presentations, performances, discussions and other activities. The participants of the Art & Society programme occupy the top floor of the Culture Club and can use all the space to furnish the workplace as they wish.
