First prizes for Jasmijn Calis and Christiaan Blom at ORDA competition

Jasmijn Calis and Christiaan Blom both won the national competition of the Open Recorder Days Amsterdam. Jasmijn won the first prize in the category soloists up to 11 years of age and Christiaan won the first prize in the category soloists 12 up to 16 years of age. They both won a high quality handmade recorder; Jasmijn a soprano recorder 415/440 made by Tom de Vries and Christiaan an alto recorder 415 made by Coolsma.

Jasmijn and Christiaan both study with Hester Groenleer at the Sweelinck Academy, the CvA’s young talents department.
