Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet appointed principal teacher of Voice at the CvA

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam proudly welcomes Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet as a teacher of Voice as a principal subject at the classical Voice Department. Associate Director and Head of Classical Music Okke Westdorp: ‘We are very much looking forward to working with Jeanne-Michèle. With her long and versatile record as an opera and concert singer, she will undoubtedly make a great contribution to the training of the latest generation of singers.’

Jeanne-Michèle Charbonnet has sung more than fifty leading roles in a wide range of operas, including world premieres. Her performances include the roles of Isolde, Brünnhilde, Sieglinde, Ortrud, Kundry, Senta, Venus, Ariane in Ariane et Barbe-Bleue, Ariadne, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera, Elektra, Judith in Bluebeard’s Castle en Herodias in Salome. She also sang leading roles in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Medea, Tosca, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, Aida, Iolanta, Francesca da Rimini, Prince Igor,Mefistofele and L’Espace dernier.
