We congratulate Peter van Assche, professor of Architecture & Circular Thinking at the Academy of Architecture, on his nomination for Architect of the Year! Van Assche shows how practice, entrepreneurship and research can go together, as an architect, co-founder of the plastic recycling factory Pretty Plastic and lecturer at the AHK.

This is what the jury says: 'In his thinking and actions, architect Peter van Assche is always a few steps further than even the leaders in the field, the jury sees. A truly sustainable built environment requires a radically different way of thinking.
