Teachers and students need a digital learning environment that fits well with their education. In a society where everyone learns from each other, an open educational environment is a good answer. This environment, developed with Leerpodium, aligns with the ideas of arts education. In 2018, two programs started projects to make education better and more flexible. It became clear that students and teachers learn primarily by sharing their work, creating the digital space together, and collaborating on topics. This led to an open learning environment in WordPress, where everyone can participate, and learning is paramount.
There is good collaboration between AHK and ArtEZ for educational development. Currently, 11 academies, 46 learning communities, 4,605 students, 1,574 teachers, and 62 alumni are working together. Within this network, programs create processes and applications such as team building, teacher and student development, feedback, and portfolios that fit their own educational vision. Programs use each other's ideas and build upon them, with Leerpodium as the central hub. This way of working, supported by collaboration and various evaluations, proves valuable and serves as an example for other programs.
