Lector Laura Cull Ó Maoilearca (ATD Lectorate), ATD researcher Rajni Shah, and their collaborator Will Daddario have contributed as co-editors to a special issue of the journal Performance Philosophy. This edition, With the Dead: Performance Philosophy, Dying and Grief, explores the relationship between performance, philosophy, grief, and dying from a social justice perspective.

Occasion: The Grief Project
This publication is an outcome of The Grief Project, a collaboration between the ATD Lectorate, the (previous) Lectorate of Social Justice and Diversity in the Arts (SJDA) (led by Aminata Cairo and Rosa te Velde), ARIAS, and the Performance Philosophy network. The project was funded by the Thematic Collaboration Programme (TCP) for research at the Amsterdam University of the Arts (AHK).

Beyond Text: A Multimodal Journal
This special issue of Performance Philosophy breaks away from the conventions of a traditional academic journal. In addition to articles, it features an innovative integration of audio, video, visual materials, and creative writing, all embedded within the scholarly and practice-based contributions.

Contributions from AHK Artists, Researchers, and Professionals
The authors featured in this issue include artists, researchers, and professionals affiliated with two AHK lectorates (ATD Lectorate and the Lectorate of Social Justice and Diversity in the Arts), as well as the ARIAS network, of which AHK is a part. Contributors include: Paulina Trejo Méndez, Siegmar Zacharias, Catalina Insignares, Camille Sapara Barton, Staci Bu Shea, Raoni/Muzho Saleh, Kai Hazelwood, Phoebus Osborne, s†ëf∆n Schäfer and Natalia Sánchez-Querubín.
