The Culture Club (with Lectoraat & Master Arts Education) is throwing an unforgettable club night on Thursday, June 12, and we’re looking for students and staff from all AHK academies to share and/or teach their hidden talents. No pressure—your act can be big or small, crazy or dead serious. The only rule? It has to be your secret talent!
Got a hidden talent that’s been gathering dust? Whether you are a member of an online sea cucumber cosplay community, have dance moves that outsmart Kendrick’s, create stunning street art in secret, or own a ball gown collection no one ever asks about—this is your moment!
This isn’t a talent show with judges or scores. It’s a celebration of all the weird, wonderful, and overlooked skills that make us unique, and enrich our artistic lives." So, blow the dust off your hidden talent and step into the spotlight!
Sign up via this link and… maybe you will be on stage later!

The Amsterdam School of the Arts is of course where you learn about, through and with the arts. But besides the official curriculum and beyond regular school hours, students and their teachers are often involved in self-initiated cultural activities, individually or with friends. These so-called informal learning activities are educationally interesting because they often include alternatives pathways to creative learning processes. Informal extra-curricular activities are also fascinating from an artistic viewpoint. The informal work that students or teachers produce sheds a light on which contemporary arts forms reside underground. And as these forms of creative production are often not represented in official arts curricula, informal learning activities also help us to interrogate the hidden norms and criteria of the arts world.
