Arts Beyond Ableism is an initiative of the Research Group Arts Education and the lectorate of the Academy of Theatre and Dance at the AHK. The programme explores the concept of unlearning ableism in the arts: how artists and educators can contribute to challenging biases against disabled people in the arts, education, and society. Through conferences, gatherings, and artistic exchanges, Arts Beyond Ableism brings together artists, educators, and students to engage with themes such as neurodiversity and physical accessibility in the arts.
