Conference on authentic art education

The Arts Education research group organised the Authentic Art Education Conference on 21 November 2011 in cooperation with Cultuurnetwerk. In recent years a variety of projects that take authentic art education as their starting point have been carried out in the educational sector. The authentic art education concept has been the subject of both in-depth studies and criticism in the debate surrounding New Learning. A decade after Haanstra's advocacy of authentic art education, this conference took stock of the theory and practical applications in this field.
